Originally from Iowa, I spent the last six years living and going to school in Indiana. A new job brought me to Louisville, KY, and I have been cooking, eating, and tasting bourbon here since June 2009.
I like food. I like to eat it, cook it, and gather around it. In an effort to explore and expand my interest in food, and add to the ever-increasing lists of new food blogs, here is my attempt at writing about something I love.
Food is situational. Inspired as much by circumstances and company as it is by taste and ingredients, a bowl of cereal can be just as meaningful and nourishing as a gourmet meal. Satisfying food also requires some reasoning and planning. I think a lot about food, plan around it, and enjoy sharing it. Like so many others, I like to cook food that requires not-too-much-work, that is at least somewhat healthy, and tasty.
After getting so used to cooking for one, I moved in with my now-fiance in 2011 and am now adjusting to cooking for two – so here’s hoping others might be somewhat inspired to do the same.
